PDX Meetup
I'd go for the Green Dragon or the shiny new HUB.

How does one define afternoonish? My house is perilously close to the Green Dragon (yay!) but the 24th is moving into said house day (boo!), so I will definitely need a beer (yay!) but may not be able to get away (boo!) depending on the timing.

We're a big group of internet nerds
Since the Green Dragon has become Mecca to local beer nerds, local internet nerds will blend in pretty well except for skewing slightly younger.
If no MeFi shirt is available, I recommend loudly mentioning Twitter every few minutes. Under no circumstances say "Westvleteren".

Twofer Tuesday
Fozberry Flops
Sounds like a breakfast cereal. But this lucky Portland bastard will try to attend.

Cyclists do it on two wheels
I had been using GMap Pedometer for a while, but recently I found out about Toporoute. It has an automatic road-following feature that lets you map routes more quickly and the elevation profile is whole lot more readable and informative.

Dear Portland, Oregon:
How are you? I've been...
I suggest Roots Brewing, which is only a couple of blocks away from the Lucky Lab has *much* better beer and is, IIRC, smoke free.
Also, I suggest not-Memorial-Day-weekend for the date because I'll be out of town and I've missed the last 3 meetups.

The Rose & Raindrop would be good for me and it does, indeed, have a metric buttload of taps.

Even though I live just blocks away from the Lucky Lab, it'll be tough for me to break away long enough to join the fun. :( I will try to make if I can.
PS: if the vicinity of the Lucky Lab is OK for the majority, I'd suggest having the next meetup it at Roots Brewing, a few blocks away. Non-smoking and *much* better beer.

How about a Portland meetup? The limitedpie family...
I'm in, as well. Preferably at a booze-dispensing locale.
limitedpie: no worries, 50% of all restaurants in Portland are owned by McMenamins so you were bound to stumble into one.
The Horse Brass or the Hedgehouse maybe?

Does Ground Kontrol have enough seating for a group of 12 to 20?

Does the pub allow minors in the evening?

The main restaurant at the Kennedy School should be minor & booze friendly.

I haven't been to the Rialto in a while. How smokey is it? Do they have a few tables we could shove together?

I did a google search on askMe and got great...
So AskMe does or doesn't use Google search via AdSense? I use it for my site and IIRC I have some level of visual control over the results page. And my search box code snippet looked quite different from the AskMe page. Also, with search via AdSense you DO get paid for ad clicks, right?

Here's the link: Google AdSense for search. I don't think that it's been available for very long.
