Anyone able to identify the post?

This
line noise post is spreading. Can we please not post gibberish in unrelated threads.

Looking for a fairly recent post featuring digital composite photos created by an artist from hundreds/thousands of photos taken of a single event. For example I think one of the photos was of a gymnastics competition and the photo had images of dozens of athletes and support personnel taken at different times during the day composited into a single photo. The impression was of a span of time in a single photo sort of like those Family Circus cartoons that followed Billy's travels during the day without the linear flow.
Anyone remember it?

The no-attribution discussion is derailing
this thread on famous photographs. Let's have it here instead.

A lot of discussion has been had lately on obituary threads and more specifically on how crappy the initial post(s) of well known people are as posters try to take advantage of Metafilter's usual first post stays policy. Several people have proposed that Metafilter run a vetting system for obit posts or take other actions to reduce the need for multiple post deletions along with their attendant comments. One suggestion was for users to maintain a prewritten obituary pool for famous people similar to those used by news services. I've set up a proof of concept on the
wiki here.

Telling anonymous to wait to test when they have specifically requested

Why isn't this
APOD post considered to be a
double,
triple or
quadruple? [MI]
APOD doesn't seem to be an aggregator like BBC or CNN, all they do is post invariably awesome pictures of space everyday. Is it going to be acceptable to post to the front page every time something interesting is posted there (ala the proliferation of youtube links)?

A friend (really, it's not me) designed and manufactures a product at the hobby level that would potentially solve a question on AskMe.

I'm not sure if
Tasty Like Your 9V Battery has taken
IronLizard's advice to self post literally but
2 of their 3 comments ton MeFi before posting to the
front page consist of "

"I am just posting to this dead thread. La la la." and
"La."

Pony: Year included in the posted by line. With the year a posting was made appearing only once at the top of the page browsing the archives can be confusing. [MI]
For example how about changing the posted by line to:

or:

Neither of those is longer than the worst case of :

The first two posts in this photography

here are all effectively "meh". Can we please reign in the 'thread derail to prove how hip you are because the photo "

Kudos to
kirkaracha for dodging the urge to be clever and actually making the text of his
link to IMDB the name of the movie. Rather than content free nouns, adverb or adjectives.
"Honey, I've got a tool that'll fix anything." -- Actor in this sequel would have been less useful.

Get to the question. Since the introduction of the system more inside feature in AskMe the number of posts where the
question isn't
on the
main page
has been
trending upwards. Yesterday was especially bad. It would seem that actually asking your question where skimmers can see it would be a prudent course of action.

The Wiki/FAQ has been pornified. I'd revert it to a previous version but I can't seem to figure out how. Could someone who knows how this stuff works please revert it and then let us know how it's done? (AskMe or Meta, when in doubt take it to Meta)

Can we please not use tinyURL in
postings and especially in
FPPs.
They are of no benefit and they put a another layer of vulnerability between readers and the content. And they are guaranteed not to work at some point in the future.
Not only do the URLS expire they are recycled. So even if they don't point to tubgirl now they might in the future.

Matt how hard would it be to add the near this user to people outside the USA? Assuming the code just uses a proximity match on zip code a similiar thing could be done with postal codes in Canada and I guess the UK.
All our non-US members, does your coutry have a similiar code?
