London meetup. Let's make it happen! I arrive tomorrow, 27 Sept.
(note proper continental date form), and leave on 3 Oct. I'm spoken for on the evening of the 28th and during the day of the 1st, but other than that, I'm open to suggestions. I'm staying around the East End, if that's relevant.

this thread, it seems that the evening of 9/25 (Sunday) is my designated time to meet at least a few of you Noo Yawkers. So let's nail down a time and place! I'll be staying in Chelsea, if that seems relevant.
(London Mefites, don't think I've forgotten you! I'm just waiting to hear from friends about which night we'll be seeing a performance, then will post a proper thread to work out our own Jolly Olde Meetuppe Plannes.)

Disappearing comment in
this thread: I posted a perfectly normal comment after 40 Watt's
first comment, and I know that I did indeed
remember to hit "post" because, well, I actually saw the comment posted on the screen. But just now, going back to the thread, my comment is gone. Are gremlins afoot? Because certainly my "hey, thanks for the reminder, I'm going to get this for my nephew" couldn't be considered worthy of deletion...?

Since yesterday, I've been unable to use the shortcut to post links in threads. The shortcut window pops up as usual, I paste in the URL, and hit OK. Then the window closes, but without having inserted any code into the text. (I'm using the same ol' IE5 as usual.)
