Google Analytics Question: Over a five month period, it's telling me I've had about 300 visitors who have read my site between 9 and 100 times.
I realize this is small potatoes in the World O' Blogs, but it seems entirely too high to me. Please explain how Google thinks 20 semi-loyal visitors (my estimate) is 300. Surely they are mostly bots?

So we set up this webcam to watch our puppy while at work. We were shocked to find out that the dog walker we hired never came to walk her. She continued to neglect her duties all week. What to do? Is there somwhere I can report this dogwalker?
On the plus side, our puppy does totally fine while being left alone for 8 hours, with paper to do her business and some water and lots of toys!

NerdFilter: So I'm part of an online gaming community/guild that runs some servers. We have a recruitment process that is a bit old, and we are starting to get rather large (50+).
What sort of recruitment process are you aware of for online communities? Any that you are particularly fond of?

DogFilter : My SO and I are looking at getting a dog, probably a puppy, probabably something with Havanese in it. That's all besides the point. The big question is how do I know if the backyard breeder is a GOOD breeder. Takes care of the pups, gives them plenty of socialization, isn't a puppy mill, etc?
PS Ideally, we keep checking the dog shelter for a smallish dog that would fit into our lifestyles, but worse comes to worse, we'll have to get the pup from somewhere (purebreed, cross, dont' matter, cost matters a bit).

Well, our new old apt (it's new to us, but it's old) has no range hood. Looks like the previous owner decided to make a HUGE pass through. What solutions/options do I have (besides some sort of bizaare way to hookup an ordinary rangehood). Do the somewhat reviled ionic breeze / ionic cleaners work well enough to clean the air? It's a 600 sq ft apt.

We just bought a condo in a 4 story apartment. The one downside is that it shares a wall with the elevator, and it makes quite a loud noise when it brakes (stopping at a floor), but not when it's in motion.
What would be the best solution? Is there one? Is it too costly to buy whatever part is needed to quiet that elevator and have a elevator professional fix it? As we are new, I'm loathe to ask the strata to impose a levy (also because it's probably only a problem for the 3 other people who share a wall with the lift).
