I saw an ad for this thing in the latest Car & Driver magazine, and I admit, my first thought was that making an SUV into a hybrid was sort of like giving a bull a breast enhancement. But what we have here is a hybrid vehicle marketed to a segment that is most resistant to hybrids... Anyone know how easy these thigs are to fix if something breaks? The FAQ had something about the low maintenance, but I ride my bike like I stole it... If it could be fixed trailside easily enough, it might be worth investigating (anything to bring an end to the heartbreak of chain suck!)

Oh yes, and fishfucker; Apparently this system requires special dropouts at the rear and a non-standard bottom bracket, so retrofitting is out, I guess.

Just outside Moncton, New Brunswick is Magnetic Hill (scroll down to see it). There's a zoo there now as well...

There also used to be a Mystery Spot-type attraction just outside of Sussex, near Penobsquis, called Mystery Crater. Just for fun, I checked the Amnesty report summary on Canada, the UK, France, and Germany. All four of these countries, which along with the US are probably the best examples of 21st-century democracies, have similar black marks against them.

Wish I could point out a link, so apologies all around. My point is that as scary as the PATRIOT act and other steps towards a police state south of the border may seem, Americans still have, in the broad strokes at least, more freedom than average. I've always admired that about the USA.
