Survive the Outbreak:
Interactive zombie movie. At certain points of the movie you will be prompted to make a choice.
What would you do?
You'll most certainly die, but at least you get to come back and try again.

Lightmark
Cenci Goepel and Jens Warnecke of Germany create fabulous fine art images via light painting.
In a word: beautiful.

Along the lines of
celebrity/muppet vein, I give you
Totally Looks Like: Famous People and Celebs that Totally Look Like Animals and Other Things.
Some are weak, but others are surprisingly close. Mefites will especially enjoy the Nick Nolte and Cthulu comparison.

Living on the Edge
Welcome to Ronda, a beautiful city in southern Spain which is split in two by el Tajo gorge. As a result, certain buildings have been perched on the edge of the gorge’s vertical walls, enormous cliffs bridged by the 200 year old Peunte Neuvo.

We've all seen scary mugshots on
The Smoking Gun, but who cares about the famous and infamous when we can celebrate mugshots of the average joe?
As the author of
21 Best Mugshots Evar wrote:
"When you go to jail, remember that your mugshot belongs to the ages. And in today's world, once you get it taken, it belongs to the Internets. Be sure to make it one worth remembering."
I'll keep that in mind should I ever be arrested. So sit back, ignore the screwed-up numbering layout, titles and comments (though a few are amusing), and <>enjoy the mugshots as is.>

The video of German electrofunkmeister Michael Fakesch's
On the Floor (via Daily Motion) might make getting to sleep difficult.
But it's awesome, and the guy sounds like a younger, angrier Prince.

The '
Neutral Hills' is the name given to a range of hills in east central Alberta (Canada) that were shared hunting grounds for the Blackfoot and Cree Indian tribes. Because of its importance to the tribes, the area was designated as 'neutral' for hunting only, not fighting. The area ranges from the village of Veteran as far east as Major, Saskatchewan, and from just south of the town of Provost to the community of Esther. Every image posted on this site was captured within the Neutral Hills region.

Say NO to GST!
I am trying to collect 1,000,000 signatures before the end of November on an online petition to present to the Hong Kong government, which opposes the proposed Goods and Services Tax.
To reach this goal, I need as many people to know of the petition as possible.
Those wishing to help may also link to the launch entry on my site

Hong Kong Photographic
Hong Kong Photographic (
HKP) was launched March 1, 2006.
It's a portfolio of images shot in Hong Kong, but also includes those from travels abroad. Hong Kong photos range from famous scenes to the seldom seen. I lean toward the details — small
bits of Hong Kong's culture and way of life often overwhelmed by the territory's dynamism. Images are available for licensed use, from publications to web sites. Need
something specific? Just ask ... as long as it's not weddings. Like my
brother Ray, I don't do weddings. Not ever. Special thanks go to Ray (a gifted photographer in his own right) who designed
HKP based on his clean and original site.

name our yacht
On a sunny afternoon in June of 2002 Peter James Zielinski and Brett Presson, on an eternal quest to live the lives of rock stars, acquired a contest about acquiring a brand new yacht. As such, they were left with the daunting task of giving a name to said yacht. After much debate, they ultimately came up with the perfect name for said yacht but consequently, they forgot the name of said yacht shortly after said yacht was acquired in a contest about acquiring said yacht. Thus, they'll need your help.

anti-thesaurus
unhappy with web users who are unnecessarily drawn to your site in the pursuit of non-existent content? does it bog down your bandwidth? solution? write a metadata tag that specifically excludes certain terms from search engine hits by the simply defining them as non-words.

john cusack for president
Why Shouldn't John Cusack be President?
He made the tough decisions in Grosse Pointe Blank.
He couldn't be bought in Eight Men Out.
He's cooler than John Malkovich
And we like his politics so far.
interesting. what actor do you think should be president? and why?

higher IQ = longer life span
A study in the British Medical Journal shows a link between IQ and longevity. 2200 children were tracked from childhood to the age of 76. A 15-point disadvantage in IQ meant the child was only 79% as likely to be alive at 76. A 30-point disadvantage reduced the odds to 63%.

certainly seems to be a marketable product. i'm thinking that beyond the geriatric set this appears to be aimed at, it might be useful for those sunday afternoon football games, when all the guys are huddled around the t.v., drinking beer and eating doritos...

The radio quoted the leader's order as telling border guards and security agencies to seize the banned items and hand them over to the Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice, which acts as the Taliban's religious police.
