Sentences like "the quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog" contain all the letters in the alphabet. Are there similar sentences that are designed to contain all of the commonly accepted phonemes in the English language?

I'm silkscreening a few posters, and I don't have access to the nice exposure table I usually use, so I'm being forced to print out my designs onto transparency sheets rather than drawing them by hand and oiling the paper.

yet another computing question - in windows xp, how can i check to determine whether files in the recycle bin are copies of files elsewhere on my computer? (note - this is for a large number of music files, so i'd rather not check them one by one...)

Cirque de Sore Legs
may have won the people's choice award, but the competition [including a giant poodle, a bird's nest, and Kafka mid-metamorphosis] wasn't half bad. Baltimore's annual Kinetic Sculpture Race, an unholy amalgam of engineering and art, occurred last week. Created by
Hobart Brown in 1969, kinetic sculpture races require participants to build human-powered vehicles that can traverse a racecourse over land and sea, not to mention mud and sand. And they have to do it in style. Don't live near the Chesapeake? Then visit similar races in
Arcata,
Boulder,
Ventura,
Corvallis, and even
Perth, Australia. Too tame for you? Perhaps you'd like to try a
flugtag or the
Providence or
Bognor birdman competitions.
