There is a war going on in the library. This conflict is between students who seek solitary silent study and those who seek to study or work on projects in groups. An individual student's allegiance to a faction can change from day to day based on their current course load. Because the Grouparians have the advantage of numbers, they tend to win out over the Solitarites. Surely the latter group needs a fortress all their own?

Which wireless internet camera would you recommend for deployment in a library? Also, does some form of wireless noise monitor exist?

We will be spending one week in a rented cottage in
Brize Norton, UK this coming May before heading over to
ATP. We'll be close to Oxford, which is covered nicely online and in travel books, but are looking for additional activities and adventures that may be off the beaten path.

So while belly up to the bar recently, some friends and I began talking about group activities for the summer. The idea of a “Boston Beerlympcs” came up. The idea is that we’d form a few “nations” or teams that would compete against each other in weekly and biweekly events over the summer. However, like many ideas thought up over a few pints, the execution and logistics eludes us.

So after entering Stage Two* of Newbie Guitar Hero play, I decided to get all fancy and paint my
guitar. I had to take the thing apart to do so. In my eagerness to get it back together to see if I now had a nice looking 50$ paperweight, I did not wait as long as I should have to let the paint/varnish dry. Questions about repair and correction inside!

Is there an application that will run on a desktop that will record the number of times a button is clicked, the time and date that it is clicked, and will export that information into an Excel spreadsheet?

So my wife and I are headed from Boston to Annapolis this Thursday for the holidays. We’ll be returning north on Tuesday. Since finding out that I am 36th on the preorder list at my EB for an Xbox 360 I reserved in August, I’d like to spend these travel days trying maximize my chances at locating a system in a store so I would have it for the week off I get at the end of December.

Beer At Home becomes Foam At Home. As a wedding gift, Banjo and I recently acquired a
Sanyo home draft system. The problem is that it dispenses at a foam-to-beer ratio of 3-to-1. What to do? [Pour Inside]

This weekend I intend to construct a
Custom Corrugated Vapor Colloid Applicator to smoke some fish. Now I've seen Alton Brown do this on my DVD of the show a dozen times, but I'm still a bit iffy about 1) not burning the house down 2) creating something non-food poisonalicious and 3) getting it done in time for a BBQ on Sunday. Any MeFi homemade smoker veterans have any tips for a beginner?

So the honeymoon is set. Banjo and I are flying out for a
narrow boat cruise along the Llangollen canal. However, our flight gets in Friday morning and our boat will not be ready until Sunday afternoon. What to do between then?

What's the best way to burn roughly 100 CDs? Banjo and I are going to be giving mix CDs as wedding favors and would like to know the best method of going about this. Burn at home, or get someone else to do it? How much would that cost?

See a librarian’s brain asplode*! So my library is moving back into our building next summer. We have some 8,400 linear feet of bound serials* being moved into 15,500 linear feet of compact shelving*. We need to tell the mover what we want our fill rate* to be. Sounds easy, right? However, there are complications,
horrible complications. [+]

I am cooking rattlesnake quesadillas tonight for a small dinner party. Every Google'd recipe I've seen so far treats rattlesnake the same was as chicken when it comes to preparation. However, the nice folks at Savenor's said the rattlesnake should be parboiled, which has thrown my limited cookery skill into a tizzy. So how are you supposed to cook rattlesnake? Is there a way to season it while it's being parboiled?

So the finace and I are starting to ponder our honeymoon. A coworker suggested a
Canal Cruise across the pond in England as a possibility. Does anyone have any opinions or tips regarding putting down the canals at three miles per hour on a narrowboat built for two? Things that a pair of young Americans should watch out for? Thanks!

I'm a huge fab of
Conundrum, a white blend wine lately out of Caymus Vinyards. However, here in Boston the suggested retail price of 24$ for a bottle of the '02 is more commonly 30+$. Also, local liquor stores rarely stay in stock. As someone who enjoys a bottle of wine with dinner and saving a few bucks, is there any other similar white (blend or otherwise) you can recommend for 10$-15$ or less? Or if you can find a cheap source of Conundrum outside of NH State Liquor Stores, please let me know!

Rabbit fighting question. We have two rabbits, a female named Grendel and a male named Robocop. They're both altered. They've been living together happily since November until yesterday. Now they're fighting and need to be seperated lest the fur fly. What could be causing this change in behavior?

Being endlessly frustrated with a new computer game (City of Heroes) refusing to work with my laptop (Dell Inspiron 5150), I am considering buying a new laptop. While I know what I want for most of it, the option of a Pentium M vs Pentium IV chip confuses me. The M clocks in in the 1.~ range while the other is 3.~+. Which is faster? Which should I get for a gaming laptop?
