Traction Park

Active in the years before padded jungle gyms (and class action lawsuits), Action Park was a sometimes bloody rite of passage for many New Jersey kids. Infamous for its gravity-and-friction-defying looping waterslide and beer gardens, it eventually produced so many injuries that the park bought the surrounding city extra ambulances to cope. It still is alive in many New Jersey hearts today.<-video.

Brutal New York

I've only ever seen 70 & 80's era New York in movies and I've never really thought about their source of inspiration. Until I saw this.(a few graphic photos on that last link)

Finding friends in the no-fun city?

I'm currently living in the Mt. Pleasant area of Vancouver. I'm a 30ish male. I took a week of vacation and the highlight of today was paying off my library fines. I would like to get a bit more of a social life....

Our free pineapple giveaway did not produce the results we hoped for...

I'm looking for recommendations for firms or individuals located in or near Vancouver Canada that can help where I work refine current recruitment advertising strategy.

Is it a con-do, or a con-don't?

Well, we've found a condo we want and now we need a good home inspector in the Vancouver/New Westminster BC, Canada area to make sure we aren't buying a lemon..

Tex is a good guy.

For Christmas Briony would like: a sketch book, pencil crayons and 2 new rodent cages for her pet rats. A lot of people give to charities or directly to a homeless person during this time of year in the hopes that their money will be put to good use. But what do the homeless really need? Jennie and Dan Keeran found out, put the answers up on the web and are now asking for people to donate. I think it's an awesome idea.

Airport what?

My mom recently bought an ibook shortly before going off to Argentina. She was hoping to use some public wireless connections to keep up to date with her email down there but she's having (unspecified) problems.
