A friend developed a new Firefox extension. While I didn't write any code for it, I was one of the testers during development and like to think that my input has helped the product. Is this okay to post to Projects?

A few weeks ago, there was a
post about two Muslims about to be deported from Britain. Today in AskMe, the poster
reveals that one of the potential deportees is a friend of his. Shouldn't this have been disclosed at the time? Is it okay to make posts about your friends?

Many of us have spent quite a bit of time writing our various comments and posts on MetaFilter. In the spirit of "All posts are © their original authors," I would like to request the ability for a user to be able to download all of their own contributions as a simple data dump.

The new RSS feeds (which are wonderful) are starting to show up in Google searches. I doubt this is what anyone wants. I would suggest that they be disallowed in robots.txt, or set NOINDEX, NOFOLLOW.

Can we please have a My Favorites tab in My Activity? One that would work just like the My Comments tab in showing the last few comments on each thread, but do this for our favorite threads rather than threads we commented in?

Why is it that the Yahoo index of MetaFilter is better than that of Google? I know that when the search box was switched over to Yahoo no one really knew. Any new ideas?

@mathowie: Why are people starting to put commercial at signs before usernames when they are directly addressing other MeFites? Is this a convention from Digg or something? Am I the only one who finds this annoying, even more annoying than putting other usernames in
boldface? Even more annoying than Todd Lokkenning? Can we make it stop?

Can we please stop questioning the need for anonymous AskMe posters to be anonymous? The posters can't respond, and I find Matt does a decent job of filtering out the questions that have no possible necessity for anonymity. Maybe you can't think of a reason, but then again, it's not your life at issue.

What's the best way to suggest a new tag for an existing post? E-mailing or IMing jessamyn? The original poster? Or should I just not worry about it? I can just keep a mark of it in my own del.icio.us, but that doesn't help anyone else who wants to search the same thing.

On Projects, when I press Alt+B, instead of getting my browser's Bookmarks menu as on almost every other site, I instead get About MeFi Projects. Personally, I would prefer it if web sites didn't override my existing keyboard shortcuts.

Does the
"Mozilla not fit for general use" FPP count as a self-link? It only calls out a single bug, which the author has commented on several times. For that matter, I don't think a layout bug is usually worthy of a FPP.
