GuyZero: "I'm going to print up cards that say "why the fuck was my question in AskMe deleted, assholes?" on the front."

Make them grey, in 11-point Tahoma, with a blank inside, and I'll buy like a hundo. I can think of a ton of uses.

What planet do you have to live on to think that a) this is important enough to complain about, and that b) anyone besides the curmudgeonly outliers will agree that this TLA needs to be banned? Just get over it.

This came up on MeTa in October 2006, and Matt made a lot of changes in response, but not before it was exploited grey-hat style. On the other hand, if things were entirely sorted out, we'd have IMG tags again.... [more]

MeTa post: MeFi Personals
I think there's a happy middle-ground here. Add a handful of personal info fields to the profiles: relationship status, interests, strange body piercings, etc. Make them searchable.

Also, for the record, I've always loved that use of the word "swerve".

Ynoxas: "Still, that's a lot of fuel to use in 3 hours."

It's also a long distance to travel in three hours. If you had driven the 1500 miles, even your Mazda3 would have burned 51 gallons of gas. If all 200 of you had driven such fuel-efficient cars (unlikely), that'd be more than 10,000 gallons. Flying wins.
