Java Software Developer

Job Description: Texterity seeks an experienced Java and web developer to build innovative internal systems and web applications. The Publishing Technology team is responsible for the back office server farm and workflow development, including software written in several languages and running on multiple architectures. The team also develops tools for our Operations group to manage the digital publishing process, from receipt of files from publishers to emailing and tracking subscriptions. We are looking for individuals who will contribute to our roadmap by dreaming up new ways of doing things and driving to make those real. Minimum requirements: * 2+ years of Java development (JDBC and JAXP are a plus) * Fundamental knowledge of web application architecture, database design (MySQL), web servers (Apache), JavaScript, HTML * Knowledge of DHTML, XML, CSS, DOMs, Schemas, and parsers * Experience building technical tools/workflows with web interfaces * Strong knowledge of Linux or another Unix-like OS * Ability to work with a team in a collaborative environment * Good written and verbal communications * BS and 2+ years of experience in software engineering Desired skills: * Experience with Struts 2, Spring, Hibernate or similar frameworks * Familiarity with Perl or comparable scripting language * Experience with high availability server systems using load balancing, caching and optimization techniques in a multi-tiered environment * Experience with Template Toolkit or similar tool Other details: * Full-time, salaried position located onsite in Southborough, MA * Flexible hours * Competitive benefits * No sponsorship or relocation available * No agencies, contractors or consultants

Java/Perl Web Developer

The web developer will be working on projects following an internal product roadmap, with flexibility to add features as customers request and as the evolving market drives us. Senior Web Developer

My company is looking for web developers with experience with designing applications from the ground up as well as maintaining and optimizing legacy code. Required knowledge on a daily basis includes Perl, Java, Apache, Linux, MySQL, JavaScript (DHTML/AJAX), XML (and Schema), CSS, Flash, and Template Toolkit. Experience with mod_perl, load balancing, HA, and security are a plus. You must be able to work in an intensely collaborative environment.
