How do my wife and I prove that we were not using fake names on Facebook, after Facebook claimed our names were fake and kicked us off?

Can old Wacom tablets work on newer macs?

I've come across a Wacom ArtPad II Tablet, but with connectors for the old Mac serial/ADB port. Is there an adaptor that will allow it to work with a USB only Mac G4, 10.4 or 10.5 system? I'd want to use it with Photoshop and Painter.

Skin raised and red

Ariana Page Russell: My own skin frequently blushes and swells. I have dermatographia, a condition in which one’s immune system exhibits hypersensitivity, via skin, that releases excessive amounts of histamine, causing capillaries to dilate and welts to appear (lasting about thirty minutes) when the skin’s surface is lightly scratched. This allows me to painlessly draw patterns and words on my skin, which I then photograph. Images (click skin one or skin two). Interview.

Do you know this quote "Your agony must endure forever" ?

In the Art of Noise song "Instruments of Darkness" (from the In Visible Silence CD, not the various remixes), there is a sample of a voice saying "Your agony must endure forever". This has been attributed to Neil Kinnock, a British politician. Does anyone know what that statement was in reference to and the text of the full speech or comment?

The Cowboy Junkies revist their most popular album

Back in 1987, the Canadian band Cowboy Junkies recorded The Trinity Session (which featured their one big hit, Sweet Jane), ). To celebrate the album's 20th anniversary they brought a few fellow musicians to the church where the album was originally recorded to see what 20 years experience would do to the same set of songs. Here's a video from the session, with Natalie Merchant on backing vocals.

When and who invented Ginger Ale in Ireland in the 1850s

Ginger Ale ( the soda, not the beer) was supposedly invented in Ireland in the 1850s. However, I can't find anything more specific. Do you know of any history links that have concrete information about the invention of Ginger Ale in Ireland around the 1850s? If it could be pinpointed to a certain person or town or custom, that would be great.

What printer would you recommend for graphics department for printing color ads and proofs of magazine and newspaper pages?

What office printer would you recommend for a graphics department for printing color ads and proofs of magazine and newspaper pages? NEED Postscript level 3 compatibility , Ethernet, good type output and a nice chunk of RAM (256mb or more). We previously had phaser 8200DP, but it's slowly dying. 11x17 and duplexing would be nice, but not required.

Your thoughts on current and future changes to make Metafilter more woman friendly

Recently, as in the past day or so, the flag for "offensive" was changed to "offensive/sexism/racism". This was done at the request of several female members who believe Metafilter has become or has been hostile to women and who wished to have some means of highlighting these instances. Several other changes are being considered, such as an addition to the FAQ/guidelines, although nothing concrete has been hammered out. If you would like to add suggestions or have constructive criticism, please do so in this thread. If you you would like to read the full story of how this came to be, check out this previous Metatalk thread. It's a bit long, but worth reading for a full understanding of how this issue came about.
