Who is Ann Marie Brown?

I bought an interesting painting and would like to research the artist, Ann Marie Brown. But how?

A single tear graced her cheek.

"This statue proves that Jesus Christ is Lord over America, he is Lord over Tennessee, he is Lord over Memphis."

You say "Pepsi Blue" like that's a BAD thing...

The staff of The Impulsive Buy are not experts, but they do like to try anything that has any of the following words on the product: new, improved, new and improved, better tasting, reconditioned, less fat, fat-free, best-selling, less calories, reduced for quick sale, limited edition, free toy, 50% off, or now with Olestra!

It's not the length so much as the girth...

Once you start looking, tiny houses are everywhere.

...the abyss also looks into you.

Explore the Abyss... where the Vulcanoctopus shares its garden with the unsung stars of Alien vs. Predator and those glowing worms you dream about after drinking tequila, and the pressure, my god, the pressure!

If a job's worth doing, it's worth overdoing.

For Sale: Wothahellizat? It's definitely not built for speed, but this weird off-road truck is truly a labor of love.

[this is painful]

"One thing that I was sad about the first time is that my tongue web was thrown in the trash can. This time, I was sure to get it back, so I could eat it." Okay, maybe the tongue obsession is over the top, but multiple body piercings are not that unusual these... OH MY GOD... branding and implants and Danny Dulai!

Can I hand wash 'dry clean only' wool pants?

I've got several pairs of lightweight wool dress pants from Ann Taylor. They are marked dry clean only. Suppose I hand-wash these pants in cold water and lay them flat on a towel to air-dry. Will the laundry gods punish my impudence?

If you could fly an airplane to the moon...

Population: 1 Plus 5,000 Books. "Rudy's Library is less than 350 square feet. The books are worn, disorganized and eclectic beyond description. It's impossible not to linger."

Now With 42% More Death Wish! Tipping out the contents of the plastic wrapper onto my rice seemed to make a noise that sounded almost like colooostommy baaaag but I ignored it and took a bite. Rather good.

Pet Names

Inspired by this thread, in which someone confessed to using the same pet name for her dog and boyfriend, I simply must know: What sick-making nicknames do y'all call your spouses, partners and kids?

Lo! I worship Mother Mud.

Rule 11: All competitors must wear footwear, which should be taped to your feet. [RealPlayer video via Reuters] But it appears that pants are optional at the 2005 Maldon Mud Race. A crowd of 7,000 watched 180 brave souls raise money for charity: some ran, some hitched a ride, some crawled and many fell by the wayside, alas.

The intricate underbelly of civilization.

His ability to create a home in a city drawbridge was instinctual. "You've got to be kind of agile," he said. "You can't be a idiot.... It doesn't take long to figure out what you need to do. How long has mankind lived in caves? The first time it was scary. After that, it was almost like riding a Ferris wheel.''

Why are my feet still growing?

Did your feet grow as an adult, and did you figure out why? Please hope me!
