tkolar, as jessamyn and many others have said, the problem is that people in real life think

"Why are some black people afraid of my dog"

rather than

"Why are some black people afraid of my dog"

That's why generalizations such is this, (and it is one) make life problematic for black people.

For the record, I wasn't worked up about Witty's calling Muslims insane, or whatever. I thought his request for weekly Muslim deaths, however, to be disgusting, especially when taken in context.

Witty seems to think that a few people wishing death on Bush gives him licence to be a total prick. Although I don't endorse either practice, the situations are not analogous. The comments Witty made reference to were not made in a thread dealing with deaths within the republican... [more]
