I'm looking for assistance completing a GUI interface in a Symfony project. You would be working on an existing code base. Multiple boxes are laid out using CSS driven from database values for height, width, X-position and Y-position, all of which are percentages of the parent box container. You would implement: * Save functionality: Users can interactively drag and drop boxes. Clicking a Save button should calculate new values for X and Y positions of all boxes, then update their associated database entries. * Resize functionality: Create corner resize handles on boxes to allow users to interactively modify box height and width. Clicking a Save button would calculate new height and width values, then save them to the database. Work would be entirely online, you would save your changes to an SVN branch. You should be familiar with the Symfony framework.

Our company is interested in expanding its custom programming offerings. Qualities Desired

• Strong database skills.
• Experience preferred in Access, SQL, VBA, Sharepoint, Outlook (Exchange)
• MySQL, PHP, Java a plus.
• Must be able to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Must document code.
• Most work can be done remotely, so physical location of candidate not too important.

Tasks to Perform

• Design Access applications that pull from legacy and/or corporate data sources.
• Maintain and enhance existing Access applications in use.
• Design links to other MS Office applications from existing Access DB’s
• Design web interfaces to communicate with backend Access or SQL databases.
• Develop PDA/Blackberry interfaces to communicate with Access/SQL DB’s.

Prior Work Experience Would like 2+ years in work environment, but will consider any candidate with strong skill set and desire to work hard.
