stet does not have multiple spouses in varying stages of completion of the program. He has one spouse (me) who is finished, and several friends in varying stages of completion.

Schultzy's has recently (?) acquired the next-door space, and I cannot remember what it used to be. (Not the Korean, formerly European Bakery, place; rather, the place immediately adjacent to Schultzy's.) Anyway, it's twice as big now. And still has good beer.

You can tell it to ask you what to do with each cookie; then you can block some, keep some until the end of the session, and keep some forever, like MetaFilter's.

On OS X, this is in Preferences > Privacy > Cookies. Allow sites to set cookies, but select "Ask me every time" from the "Keep cookies:" dropdown menu.

Personally, I avoid the whole "he or she" problem and pluralize everything. Thus: "Let's hope you get good nurses, and that their ..." I wish more people would do this. It solves a lot of problems. Seriously.

I just started using Thunderbird for email and subscribed to the AskMe RSS feed as well. I delete all but the ones I want to keep checking up on for an answer (rather than because I want to contribute, like five fresh fish says). Once they've been answered to my satisfaction I sometimes bookmark them in del.icio.us.

But another way to do this would be lovely.
