Isn't AIG's downfall merely the symptom of a systemic problem? I fail to see why I should be outraged about this.

Free word order! writes "And -poof!- suddenly the world has much less wealth. "

The world never had that much wealth. This is just the result of everyone sobering up and admitting it.

Yeah, what's so interesting about a multi-millionaire Heisman Trophy-winning actor brutally murdering his wife and her friend and then being acquitted, only to end up serving the rest of his life in prison for armed robbery and kidnapping?

"PS: How bout 10ish AM on Sunday? :P"

I understand the individual words you have chosen, but the order you have placed them in makes no sense to me. A typo, perhaps? Did you mean PM? I realize that A and P are pretty far apart on the keyboard, but that still makes more sense than getting up before noon on the weekend :P

Artificially lengthened photoperiods and a shift toward blue spectrum lighting (CFL lighting and computer monitors/televisions) can have an impact on development. A round-table show featuring Mitchell and three other Christian panelists, Flamethrower is best known for a segment that never aired. Produced in January, Mitchell's video Making Mohammed Cookies! shows a chef, wearing Islamic headdress, baking a cookie in the shape of the Muslim prophet. He's interrupted at one point by his roommate, whom he shoots with a handgun while yelling, "Jew!"

I think McCain finally realized that Bush got his ass handed to him in the debates last time, and he still won. So McCain is going to take it a step further and just forefeit entirely. He realizes that the debates are dead as a campaign sideshow. Nobody cares, people will root for their team regardless.

Palin is going to get replaced on the ticket before October is out. The republicans are in open rebellion. George will says she is "obviously not qualified to be President." She's going to be McCain's Harriet Miers, and I bet dollars to sub-prime mortgage paper that Mittens will be his Alito.

Do real parenting. Talk to them about the goals you have for them, and the goals they have for themselves. Believe that they can achieve them, and make them believe it too. Help them reach those goals any way you can. Communicate relentlessly. Work hard every day to be the best parent you can possibly be in this way.
