The thing with the quakes down here in LA is that they seem to happen regularly enough that I'm not nervous about a 'big one.' It seems to vent the pressure rather than hoarding it. Up in the bay area things have been ominously quiet for what, almost 20 years now? That's scary.

The New York to Los Angeles Metafilter Goodwill Caravan 2008
I'd like to bring everyone's attention to the World on Wheels roller skating rink in beautiful, pastoral Culver City. They have a little event called Roller Disco. I have attended, and I can confirm that it is fucking awesome. They play a vast array of disco and funk until 2 am, and hold on, it gets better. Upstairs there's a bowling alley! Our troubles are over, dude. In the bowling alley there is, I shit you not, a karaoke bar.... [more]

I suppose this might be a problem. However, roller disco is a monthly event, so it doesn't have to be this particular date.
Of course we could try to kidnap Jessamyn and take her on a bowlingkaraokerollerdisco tour of debauchery. I think she'd fight it until the ether took hold, but then later on she'd thank... [more]

The bottom line is, PP's reason for coming here is not what MeFi was intended for, and Metafilter is worse off for having him as a member. I noticed fairly quickly when he stopped taking a crap in the threads, and never in my most perverse fantasies did I ever think I'd want to read his trolling again. There's a fine game reserve in the form of LGF where he can live out his days with the rest of his herd. Here he's just a kid who refuses to stop shitting in the pool, and if you fool me twice......
