Butterfly wedding favors
You could use them as place card holders either on the tables themselves (at each place setting) or on the namecard table.

I'm glad you know of the Consumerist. If the call doesn't work, try an EECB. There's a listing of a lot of Verizon's higher ups' emails here.

Pen Tricks/Spinning. Where to Start?-Tips,Advice,Resources, etc.
Let me commend you on learning with the Pilot G2. It's probably one of the best pens for learning due to its heft and balance. It's also a pretty awesome pen in general.
Some basic tips:
The pointer finger is really just used to catch the pen at the end of the flip.
You want to hold the pen toward an end (on a G2, either where the rubber grip starts or where the clip begins). Push the pen over the thumb with the middle finger, catch... [more]

Can College require me to provide proof of immunizations?
I'm not sure how helpful this will be to you, but I have a permanent medical exemption from vaccinations and all my college required to permit my enrollment was a letter from my doctor stating the legitimacy of my exemption and my promise to leave campus if something particularly insidious came around.
I understand that you *are* vaccinated, but the college has a right to protect students on campus. To basically agree with what has already been said, I'm sure you have... [more]

Smart & Pregnant
I'm not even sure if this is real, since the only source that I know of/can find is from Irving's Cider House Rules, but "quick" used to mean pregnant. And "quick" is also sort of slang for being smart.

Tiny Accident, They're Claiming Injuries, How Screwed Am I?
Perhaps it's not terribly comforting, but maybe the police report's omission of damage details is in your favor-- if it was *really* bad, they definitely would've written something. Does the report mention your speed (5-10 mph) or the situation? I'm sure any amount of detail like "he slammed on his breaks after deciding not to turn" would indicate that it was a slow speed and thus, minimal damage.
And be thankful that you at least had a police report-- and some... [more]

Other than an iSight, what would you buy?
I just bought the Ecamm iMage webcam from Amazon for about $60. (amazon link included for reviews). It's in stock here at the ecamm site.
I also use it with a 14" iBook G4. I find the picture clarity is pretty good considering it's *not* the iSight. I've never used it with ichat (I use skype), but the website for the cam says it should be fully compatible/useable/work awesomely.... [more]

nthing the need for cilantro.
also, when I make my own salsa, I usually try to balance the "sweetness" of the tomatoes with garlic salt and/or fresh garlic. I know you said you already use some salt, but perhaps a bit more will help with the tomatoey taste.

D.C. temp agencies
I worked in DC over the summer and I was registered with Trak Legal, who I discovered through a Craigslist posting. I interviewed in late April, gave them my starting and ending dates and, save for two days, I was employed from my start day until my end day. They are absolutely wonderful. As the name implies, they specialize in legal temp work placement, but they work with a number of organizations (one of my placements was with a real estate investment company). As for payment, you tell them... [more]

The Squid and the Whale
Igby Goes Down

How do you get to St. Petersburg from Tampa with no car?
As someone who lived in Tampa for over 15 years, I concur with photoslob and bshort. Cabbing is really the best option and there are tons of hotels within a 20 minute cabride of Ybor. (I'd check out South Dale Mabry for some reasonably inexpensive, good to crash in hotels.)
Also, basically no one uses public transportation in Tampa-- because it doesn't really exist.

Dental sedation anxiety.
When I had my wisdom teeth out this past summer, I also was put under with nitrous. They put an IV in my arm, put the mask over my face, and *maybe* a minute later, I was out. It doesn't really feel like anything, except I distinctly remember my ears feeling fuzzy and then I got very tired. When I woke up an hour or two later, they put me in a wheelchair, wheeled me to my mother's car and she drove me home. In the car I basically fell asleep and stayed asleep for the rest of the day.... I also dont know of any all-you-can-eat places but my favorites are: Raku (Dupont), Nooshi (Dupont), and Cafe Asia (Downtown). If you're looking for more than sushi, I recommend Raku; it's just off the metro and has very reasonably priced and super delicious "asian tapas".

Despite what others have said, if you do decide to go to school in the fall, there are still great colleges whose transfer deadlines haven't passed (like George Washington- May 1 and Emory Univ- June 1). I only know of those two because I, too, am transferring in the fall-- I'm sure there are many others.
Good luck.

Health Insurance Drug Test?
I've been told by several responsible adults that even if you aren't a frequent pot smoker, but that you do it on occasion, it's best to admit to it. If you are caught lying to the insurance company (ex: you get injured, sent to the ER, they do a drug test and it comes back positive), the insurance company can revoke your coverage.
And, FWIW, I have BCBS of Florida and I never had to take a drug test.

I just bought a monogrammed set of poker chips for my boyfriend's birthday. Before actually buying them, I did some reasonably extensive research on the selection online. Mystery books for a 13-year-old.
When I was a 13 year old girl, I liked Lilian Jackson Braun's "The Cat Who..." series; I think there are at least two dozen by now. Also, since she's a teenager she'll probably enjoy the fact that they're not written for children but probably won't offend her mother's sensibilities (i.e.- they're maturely written without overtly mature themes).

Thanks for the replies. I haven't tried contacting the label (I was saving that for a last ditch effort). The Yahoo search only has results for two songs off the album annnd music now isnt compatible with itunes/osx (which i didn't specify before, so that's my fault.)
