Of course, Weblogs Inc. wasn't "worth" $25MM. That's roughly 24 times run rate revenue, assuming the $3K per day from AdSense for the network was accurate. Let's assume Jason got $3K a day from his other advertising - a fair guess, since he said AdSense was "a primary source of revenue," implying (to me) that it was probably his top revenue generator. Best answer goes to andrew cooke. cali, the "mutual friends" line is good - I just thought of "met at a party". I think I'll use that going forward - MeFi is fun!
And, to defend myself, because I do think some people were genuinely weirded out, I was out with a group of friends, she was out with a group of friends, and in the end I didn't say squat. No clue how you get from there to creepy/stalker boy.

I say Paris is more famous, if only because there's a Paris, IL and Paris, TX (among others). Although I suppose that would make Sandwich, IL a pretty famous city. I hear that word a lot.

As a recovering NYer, it's certainly regional and the NYPress does a damn fine job of making it boring.

I think most people understand that I wasn't trying to start a flamewar. (Seriously, are those fun?) I just wanted to take the kudos about the FPP from the blue to the gray.

The impetus for this suggestion was an instance where I accidentally hit Post instead of Preview again when editing a comment. (Yesterday's R. Kelly AskMe thread, where I re-read the initial post and realized what I said was addressed in the post, then subsequently IMed a friend to verify my amended answer.)
