PicLens 1.6.1
PicLens is a full screen, 3D experience for viewing photos on the web. PicLens 1.6.1, introduces the "Wall" experience for browsing photos on sites like images.google.com as well as flickr, facebook, myspace, etc as well as the ability to do images searches within the Wall. I joined CoolIris a month ago and I have just finished porting 1.6.1 to Internet Explorer. The difference in plug-in and threading models between IE and FireFox made it quite a challenge, but in the end I think it is pretty good. Please give it a whirl. As always, feedback, comments and bug reports are appreciated.

WikiTalk
A community site that lets you comment on other websites. Currently in it's early stages. It allows you to see the comments and the website in a split-view. This is done either through frames or a plug-in (IE now, FF coming soon). The site also uses a bit of AI to figure out what the most interesting topics are for the front page (as opposed to voting systems or editorial systems). I invite you all to go check it out, create an account, and look around. Any feedback or suggestions you may have are appreciated.

My mom inherited a Chihuahua. She lives in rural Missouri. Owls and Hawks try to eat it. How can we stop them?

Discussion of the beauty and consequences of urban decay pops up here from time to time. In 1992
Lambert-St. Louis International Airport began its
expansion program. The airport's website has a
timeline and lots of
photos. Since the planning began, there has been a fair amount of controversy of
one form or
another surrounding the expansion. Despite all the shininess of their press releases, things are progressing very slowly. The people who have been impacted most, however, are the people who lived in the communities on top of which the expansion is happening. They have all been displaced.

Xeriton Corporation is one of the fastest growing software companies in the Pacific Northwest. Profitable for ten years straight, we have an immediate opening for an on-site Web Designer/Developer to lead the design and (front-end) implementation of an exciting new social networking property (think Digg, but on steroids). Your responsibility would be to design/refine the visual look and layout of the site with an eye towards functionality and ease of use.
Your work will be in HTML, Javascript, and the various graphics tools of your choice. Knowledge of ASP.NET is a definite bonus: you don't need to code in C# of course, but understanding how to integrate with the codebehind is helpful.
This position will be contract based with a possible option to convert to fulltime. We have a fun, bright, and collaborative work environment, free beverages, massage chairs, and the standard tech company amenities.
We will consider only on-site work at our Sammamish, WA (Redmond) location, and you must be able to start before August ends.

When a band plays a venue and a recording is made of the performance, who owns the rights to the performance? Is it the Band, the Venue, the Record Company or whom so-ever actually put the tape in the deck and hit record?
