Highlighting the original questioner's comments in Ask Metafilter - good idea or bad?

Often in Ask Metafilter the original questioner chimes in with clarifications or extra information, but answerers don't necessarily read all previous comments before chipping in. Do people think it might be a good idea to highlight the original poster's comments in thread? (Obviously this only makes sense for Ask).

fight for your rights in your own damn country, americans

"I don't like war, but my child is in there, fighting for your rights (Americia)." is, as edgeways says, inflammatory. [more inside]

Get rid of images on the grey and the blue.

The inline image debate revisited: I know this has been discussed before, and I know that images are sometimes useful in AskMe, and I know that I may have had a sense-of-humour bypass... but isn't it time we got rid of them in MeTa and MeFi? I don't think that "bloke being shagged by a robot" gif adds anything to the site at all. Or the "this is not an appropriate front page post" one. Or the "elephant poo" one. Or any of the other pictures in the thread below this one.

Botched HTML formatting

The formatting in my answer here http://ask.metafilter.com/mefi/31513#493995
has messed up a bit - I am guessing it's because I used a less-than symbol in the text.

Comment Deletion

I am not a fan of "why did you delete my comment"? posts, but, er, feel compelled to ask... Why delete the three comments in the NYT thread which linked to other online papers? Maybe they should have been more verbose, but I think the point they were making is clear - there's a whole variety of fish in that online paper sea, why get so het up about the NYT?
