I'm looking for a funny commercial. I can't remember the company or the product, but the central character is a dad, wearing a shirt and tie and sitting at the breakfast table. As he silently reads the paper and eats his breakfast, he is surrounded by his wife and four or five teenage daughters who mill in and out of the room, all chatting and talking over each other and laughing.

If you don't know the answer, don't answer the question. It's that simple.

Your Rights As A Photographer:
As most of us are no doubt aware, the right to take photographs in the United States is being challenged more than ever--people are being stopped, harassed, and even intimidated into handing over their personal property simply because they were taking photographs of subjects that made other people uncomfortable. Recent examples have included photographing industrial plants,
bridges, buildings,
trains, and bus stations. Print and carry this pamphlet in your wallet, pocket, or camera bag to give you quick access to your rights and obligations concerning confrontations over photography.

We've already had several, and we don't need any more links to
Keith Olbermann ranting. By now we're all well aware of Keith Olbermann and his editorial opinions, and links to his most recent outraged rant don't belong on MetaFilter just like editorial rants by Ann Coulter, Bill O'Reilly, or Andy Rooney don't belong here.

When books are placed on a shelf, why do some books have their spine title and author type reading downward, and others have upward-reading type?

I'm looking for a funny commercial--it was something about web design, or designers, and it was a series of scenes from the client's perspective, shot from behind a desk, and the web designers were presenting their proposals for the client's site.

I'm looking for a post--either on the front page or in Ask MetaFilter--about a website that offered work-for-trade, or work-for-services, or some such. I remember the site could be used, for example, by a bricklayer and a painter, where the painter needed a new patio and the bricklayer needed his house painted--sort of an eBay for trade skills. I can't remember if it was an FPP, or a link posted as part of a comment, or an answer to an AskMetaFilter question. Anyone?

Some time back, I read a brief article about Ted Nugent buying a new logo, either for an album or a tour. The logo was a skull and crossbones, but the bones were guitar necks, and when the logo was unveiled to Mr. Nugent for the first time, he said, "This is a motherfucker".
I can't find it on any of his albums. Anyone know where I can find the logo?
