MeTa post: Metafilter - lessons learned from the BB problem?

For the people tending towards "we're just poor little metafilter, they're big professional boingboing", this is an interesting graph.

I'm going to be checking it for the next couple of months, just to see if they really took a hit over all this, or if it's all just hot air (it pushed me to unsubscribe, but I was inches away anyway, due to Little Brother).

I just do not get this notion.

pineapple: "practice what you preach" cuts both ways, that's all. I'm pro-privacy, pro-sexual-freedom, all those mundane socially liberal values. I can't tack on the end "except hypocritical Xians. They suck."

(Plus, of course, without people like this to tell us how bad we're all being, kink wouldn't be half as much fun...)

mikel's (basically correct) response was a touch caustic. That hardly excuses indio1919's tantrum, though. The poor guy really does come over like a stroppy teenager, doesn't he?
