Is there a LibraryThing-ish website with a better interface? Like more Netflix-ish, I can do single-click "add to my library" (or wish list or whatever) anytime I see a title? Or check boxes instead of one title at a time?

I am on the trailing edge of a bout of flu, and I have a persistent bitter taste when I drink any fluids. Doesn't seem to be there when I eat things, only drink them. Has anyone else experienced this? When do I get my taste-buds back?

Jute rug damaged my floor! My wife and I are moving out of our apartment, and when we rolled up the jute rugs, there seems to be damage to floors underneath as though the actual rug wore into the floor.

My coworker from Buffalo NY brought in a bunch of
sponge candy from back home and I was just about the only one who liked it. You can also
make the stuff at home. Well someone can. Apparently it can only be made in winter, on account of the temperature needing to be just right for the crunchy center to set. Don't let the hot wings steal your glory, sponge candy!
Which are also available, rendered in chocolate from the same site.

Back in my days of technical theater, I recall a story about the beginning of hyper-realism in set construction. The gist is that the set designer got ahold of the actual plans for the restaurant in which the play was set, and simply built it on stage.

This answer is terrible, unsupported, and if the advice given were to be followed, would will lead to nothing but grief if someone were to follow it. It is sufficiently ill-informed and potentially disaster-inducing as to inspire me to request it be deleted rather then simply flagging it and moving on.
