Even though I've never twittered before, I'm going to learn how so I can take you down during your panel. Then I'll show up to the meetup and live blog about how nice you are in person. Is there a template out there for LOLing a photo on the spot, 'cuz we'll need the "O Hai" and the "Oh Noes" generators.

PS - I'm in even though "The Party of the Internet" is happening at the same time. Can someone look into trademarking that so we can use it instead?

Who's going to ROFLcon and where are you staying? I got a $40/night bed at the Boston hostel. Cheap, but it is a hostel. If anyone has better (i.e., nicer but slightly more expensive) options, I'm all ears.

The real question at hand:

Does anyone even consider Metafilter a place for "Best of the Web" anymore (or was it ever designed that way)? It's really just a place to share links and news of the day. With their somewhat collective filter (and minus their self-aggrandizing posts), I consider BoingBoing much closer to having a BotW vision.

If Matt, Jessamyn and the others had the time and inclination for BotW, this would be one slooooow place.

I'm really just trying to find out if there's anything that defines a young, BLACK teen's musical experience when he or she grows to find that pop music sucks - like I did when I found out there was the Smiths and the Cure back in '85.
