They have to know by now that torture will yield false information, so why do they keep on doing it?

I found the perfect pet combination was a large female dog and a small cat.

I've had this roommate once who had this combo... the dog would carry the cat by the neck everywhere, put it down somewhere and lick it til the cat was just a mess of dog drool and sticky hair. The cat of course loved all this attention and purred like a harley davidson.

A friend of mine got back from Port-au-Prince, visiting his family, just a few weeks ago.

He told me that the rebels were financed by the US to overthrow Aristide, because the US had previously asked him permission to set up a military base in Haiti and Aristide said that a condition for that was to allow Haitians to visit the USA without restrictions.

In Canada, we have VIA Rail. The onboard food is crappy, but the seats are way more comfortable than any bus I've been on.

And with all the hassles the airlines have us go through especially since 9-11, I'll only take the plane if the alternative is a train trip of more than one day.
