Phones are bugged
10jub, clearly you are very stressed about this situation.
Have you spoken to anyone, your general practitioner maybe or a trusted family member or friend? That can be vey helpful.
A person in my family is going through a very similar situation and he has found that dealing with the stress caused by the fear really really helps in finally dealing with the overall situation.
Hope that is helpful.

How do I unpack an .smi file in Win2k
Well, as expected, Stuffit is a no-go. Thanks all for the help.
I'm trying to install mac on a usb jump drive and this is my last step. Just an FYI, the file in mention is OS 7.0.1.smi - available at Apple's archive, where Iit is available for free. So . . .
ikkyu2, if you would be so kind as to expand the file into it's bits 'n pieces, that would be a great help. I have uploaded the .smi to yousendit. I can get the return yousendit here or you... [more]

What do I do about my food-addicted boyfriend?
Persons with eating disorders have been shown to improve with both traditional therapy as well a psychopharmacology.
Complsive behaviour of this kind is no failing of a persons charactor or will-power. There is clear data available showing that neuro-chemical imbalance plays a significant part. While inside the disorder, it can be near impossible, without the right kind of help to even see that there is a probem.
As a person who both... [more]

Friend: Do I report my boyfriend to HR?
I am very curious if the woman in question is in conflict over having to do the right thing in the work-place, as an HR person, or if having found out about her possible one and only's ancient indiscretion has been a deeply disturbing revelation. If the later is true, I can understand her having transferred those doubts to the more comfortable, black and white, more emotionally manageable (for her) structure of her professional responsibility.

ADD sufferers - what is your experience with medication?
It can not be emphasized enough how important it is to have a clinical diagnosis before taking any psycho pharmaceutical therapy. AD(H)D is well studied these days and in conjunction with traditional talk\behavior therapy, meds can Ritalin can do wonders for the diagnosed person.
My personal experience is that I too diagnosed myself but I submitted myself to a clinical assessment by a professional that came highly recommended. Without Ritalin, I can get nothing done. As... [more]

Well, if it's Post traumatic Stress Disorder that might also be interacting with the familial disposition toward mental illness, seek out an organization in your area that supports persons with PTSD. They might have several persons they can refer you to. Of course you can always ask your doctor or talk to someone at a university that has a doctoral program in psychology\psychiatry. Is Christianity persecuted in America?
I consider the following notion: Us vs. Them.
There are many people that find belonging to a group particularly necessary to bolster or even define their personal and impersonal identity; to give their lives meaning. We all, to some degree, need to be apart of the world we see.
We have always known that individuals that place their self-value in the group identity\afinity, who are also under a high level of stress... [more]

I would also like to add that as a non-Christian, living an obviously Christian values state, I can completely understand the feeling of having my values attacked at every turn. We may be at opposit ends of a very long spectrum but it is easy to understand the feeling of loosing a battle for what we feel is intrisically right. What I try to do is separate Chriastianity from the religion of Christianity. That has helped a lot in not feeling so attacked.

I have obstructive upper respiratory sleep apnea, which basically means i loose my airway when asleep. I wake up several times a nite because i, essentially, can't breath. When I wake, I have no idea why I awoke.
Are you a snorer? Some snorers, like me, have trouble getting enough air and wake up. Visit an eye ear nose DR to take a look at you adenoids, tonsils, and whether the back of our tong is obstructing you airway while you sleep.
