All Things 'Zilla My fiancée has been getting into wedding blogs recently - since we got engaged a couple weeks ago - and has one main complaint: they're nearly all written by the brides. She suggested I start one and write about the process of planning a wedding from the groom's perspective, and so I got right to work.

The Elephant Seal! As a fairly recent convert to sabermetrics, a lover of humorous sports writing, and a lifelong fan of the A's and Giants, it became clear to me that I needed to start blogging. The Elephant Seal - a combination of the teams' mascots - explores the worlds of Bay Area baseball (and beyond), including why
Jack Cust is awesome, why
Tim Lincecum deserves the Cy Young Award, what's up with the
Giants' hair, why the Infield Fly Rule needlessly deprives us of
zany shenanigans, the
childishness of not walking, and much more. Other topics - including football, Scrabble, Any'tizers, and more - are never out of bounds.

Bret Turner Music A website/blog devoted to my music. Every day (or so), I post a song, new or old, rough or polished, instrumental or wordy, typical or experimental, and give a little backstory and details about the tune. I am currently in the process of recording an album and hopefully putting a band together, and will occasionally post songs from those sessions in the studio as well.
Folky, with lots of fingerpickin' guitar, banjo-ing, and singing, and some occasional DIY percussion.

OBAMABASH 2008! East Bay Pictures is putting together a video of what will - we hope - be a raucous Obama celebration across the nation. But we need your help, fine MeFites!
