Best men's watch for $1,500?
This may be considered risky but I had good luck with this retailer. They are located in Malaysia. I bought a TAG from them for approximately 1/2 price 5 or 6 years ago. I know it's the real thing because it was accepted for service under warranty by the TAG service center in the US. If you are in the US DO NOT purchase a Rolex (outside your price range but thought I'd mention it) from outside the country. If shipped in it will be seized by Customs.... [more]

Laptop Recommendation
I got an IBM/Lenovo R51e from Woot for around $700 to $800 a couple of years ago. Compared to other laptops I've had in the past, as mentioned above, the Lenovo is a tank. I've spilled beer in the keyboard, dropped it (admittedly probably less than 1 foot) and generally abused the thing and it just keeps going. Not the flashiest machine but it serves its purpose for me.

Listen to dancestoblue . I had a ten year old English Mastiff (old for the breed) who did me the great favor of just suddenly dropping dead. I had been worried about having to make the decision to put him to sleep that I was sure would be coming in the not to distant future.

My personal favorite is anything from the Arturo Fuente Hemingway line with a tall glass of lightly sweetened ice tea. There are better cigars but not many and Fuentes are very consistent. Port is also great with a good smoke,

Should I retake the LSAT?
This is as much a comment on the Meta community as an answer. I took the LSAT 3 times. The first time cold (157), the second with a little self prep (160) and the third after Kaplan prep (168). I had an extremely low undergrad grade point, just barely a 2.0, and I think discussing things with the admissions people made more difference than my LSAT. (Where else can you go and feel like an idiot for scoring less than 170 on the LSAT???)

I'm pretty sure there is a decent amount of vinegar making the mix pretty acidic. I seriously doubt that your in any danger. I haven't move to HD yet (my damned 10 year old 32 inch just won't die), I have the remote and I just ordered the wireless bridge (Why are the ethernet variety so much more expensive than the USB? Lack of demand? I was able to easily locate one for around $75. Probably could have found a lower price but I'm lazy.) Looking forward to trying to make it all work.

To follow up on jamjam check out some seats like this if you are cycling. If you are cycling to the point where your form is breaking down due to tiring you can really do a number on some important nerves. The fact that the middle of the seat is cut out really helps to prevent this.

You definitely need to be careful. I ordered a TAG from Malaysia at about 50% of what it would have cost in the US. I've had it for a number of years ad the US TAG repair center has honored the warranty and repair/cleaned on several occasions. Not sure what kind of luck you will have with other supplier's brands. I know buying a Rolex that did not originate with the local distributor can cause problems.

Such an epic waste of MeFiFoo, but I must know: why does Brett Favre pronounce his name that way? Why, god, why?
Favre is probably Creole. The Cajuns settled mostly in southwest LA and the Creoles are what they call the French who settled around New Orleans. Favre is from Kiln, MS which is approximately 100 miles northeast of New Orleans. If you go to New Orleans you'll find a lot of mispronunciation of French words. The best example I can think of is that Chartres Street is pronounced Charter Street by locals. If you pronounce it correctly when asking for directions no one will know what you're talking... [more]

I've worked in corporate America for 28 years. I have found that the manager I work for can have more to do with my job satisfaction than the actual work I am doing.
