We have jars and jars of sodium azide in my lab, we use it to keep buffers from getting icky from bacteria. I have pretty unlimited and unmonitored access to the chemical storage, so I guess I'm a terrorist now...shit.

My nicaraguan uncle introduced me to sprinkling slightly underripe mangoes with some Tony's, and while I thought he was completely nuts at first, it's delicious..just the right amount of spicy and salty, but he always said the Florida mangoes are crap compared to what he was raised with...

I don't think any song can by itself destroy cultural heritage, but geezus humps? lumps? it sounds like a glorification of cellulite if anything, i can't imagine anyone *actually* preferring to use humps/lumps as a euphemism.

I've had a past lover have sex with me while he was asleep, but there was never any mussing with condoms. I don't know if he could have managed that and still been asleep, but he didn't admit to remembering it at all the next day, I wasn't sure if he was telling the truth or just embarrassed, I half thought he was making it up, the whole 'I was asleep' thing.

I got 'caught' for plagiarism once, but I hadn't plagiarised. I was reading up on my research topic and found a paper that used a good quote from a book, and I grabbed the quote, referenced the book, and ignored the paper I grabbed it from because it was arguing a different point than mine. In my computer lab, right now, I can see out of 12 visible screens, 8 on facebook. (we have over 100 computers in the lab, but I can't see all of them.)

Heywood Mogroot - For one, there are ranges of mountains in various places around the world that form into one continuous mountain range on Pangea. Also, the different continents you find the same fossils gives a clue that those places had to be linked by land somehow.

I loved the The Life Aquatic as soon as I saw it, for me that and The Royal Tennenbaums are more enjoyable than Bottle Rocket and Rushmore but then again, I've only watched those once. I think the music is what caught me in life aquatic though, not Owen Wilson...

I used to joke with friends about a parking god of some kind, cause I always get good parking and they dont...but really, I'm just patient enough to make 2 or 3 laps around the parking lot in my climate controlled car rather than park and walk it, and I usually park just a bit after classes start, so I catch the space of people who were late out of the class before going home..
