In the current chaos, lets say GS decided to take itself private.

Lets say that one, (theoretically, of course) owned a relatively small amount of stock in Goldman Sachs, and had no intention of selling it...

Does Webkinz actually suspend accounts if one has not registered a new webkin in the past 12 months?

Lubricant sheets?

My new crosscutting paper shredder manual suggests using shredder lubricant sheets twice a month, or every 30 minutes of active shredding. Naturally, they also sell these lubricant sheets.

Campaign debt relief?

I was very surprised to read a former political reporter's statement that the Obama campaign might offer to pay off the Clinton campaign's debt if/when she drops out of the primary race.

Did people really use ice packs?

In older films, ill people are sometimes shown with an ice pack on their head. Presumably to bring down a fever? Did people really do this back then, or is the ice pack merely a comedic signifier?

Scallion gel?

I love scallions. I mean, I should really do the right thing and propose. But the one thing holding me back is that small, clear blob of gel/fluid that sometimes oozes from the joint where the hollow green section meets the solid white section while chopping. What is that stuff?

Why does my Macbook wake up with black bands on the screen?

About once a week, my MacBook Pro wakes from sleep with a 1" black band on each side of the screen. If I restart it at this point, the black bands will go away. What is going on?

Name for visionary state?

Is there a name for the act of seeing (projecting) something that is questionablely present? (For example, seeing the face of God, or Elvis, in the burn marks of your toasted bread.)

Symmetry in nature?

Are all animals basically symmetrical? Even a lobster, which has specialized claws, seems to be basically symmetrical. More specifically, are there animals that are clearly not symmetrical?

platypus

I'm looking for a history of the western, scientific reaction to the platypus. Specifically, but not limited to, George Shaw's suspicion that the animal was a hoax. I have found many bits and pieces , but am looking for for the whole thing stitched together - thanks.

What are the most used Landscape Architecture programs?

Does anyone know what the most common and/or best Landscape Architecture programs are for use in a small professional landscape arch. firm? Do they use the same programs as large firms? A friend is looking to switch careers and would like to become familiar with the software most in use. Thanks.
