Does anyone have any funtime suggestions for hanging out in Bangkok? I will be visiting family in Bangkok for a few weeks this spring. This will be my third trip to bkk. I don't really like going to bars and I think I've done most of the straight-up sightseeing/shopping that I care to do. I have a nagging feeling that I'm forgetting/missing out on something!

I watched
Incident at Loch Ness recently and it reminded me how much I enjoy watching actors pretending to be actors and directors, so now I'm looking for more.

I have put a wireless card in my old ibm laptop. now the cursor jumps up the screen every time the transfer light blinks. this makes internet navigation rather difficult. [more]

Uber-dictionary!
If you're a student and get your access through a university, there's a fairly good chance the university subscribes to the Oxford English Dictionary online. Which means you get the OED too!
regardless, it's 100x the dictionary m-w is.

Aurora Borealis... in Santa Fe, NM
i'm up late writing a paper and chanced to look out the window, only to see red gaseous-looking clouds in the sky... I know it seems absurd to see the northern lights in the southwest, but this map almost makes it appear possible, probably because of the altitude... if i see four horsemen though, i'm running like hell.
