OWS will peter out eventually, but I'm thinking and hoping that the Era of American Protest is just starting and will continue until we see solid results.

Install a Bigsby B7 on my Les Paul or is this a bad idea? Quite a bit more inside.

The challenge for this month comes from
minifigs and it's to make the ultimate distillation of a band or artists work. minifig's example was the Beach Boys because they have so many signature sounds that would be even more awesome if compiled into one song.
Good luck everybody!

I've never edited or added to a wiki before but hopefully, this might bear some fruit for us and guarantee that ideas don't get lost in the cracks.

Hey guys, I'd like to do one more challenge for April and pass the torch on to someone new.

The challenge for this month, as suggested by
moonmilk, is to make an educational or instructive song.

Phil X is a little
eccentric, but can play a guitar and puts quite a few
vintage lovelies through their paces.

Alright, I'm giving up a little early notice for the January Collaboration Challenge. This is redundant for those who follow MeFi Music regularly, but here goes.

It's time for another challenge, but first many thanks and kudos to everyone who participated in Vocals Only. That was really excellent and everyone kicked ass.

For October we've always gone with SCARY and not only do I not want to change that, I'd like to see it become a tradition here.
So for October, let's be scary and anything goes. Just imagine that your producing something for a Halloween party, a Haunted House or even something just to scare the daylights out of trick-or-treaters.
I think I might go with a little spoken word a la Vincent Price accompanied by some spooky music and sounds.
Enjoy!

This months challenge, TRANSPO, is combination of "favorite car" and "car culture" ideas from
bonefish and
Karlos the Jackal.

Acoustic Guitar Players. Have you fallen in love with a particular acoustic guitar? One that is your constant companion? If so, why?

Old, and maybe worn out, but I'm still very inspired by this
star-child hammering it out on 12 string acoustic.
It wasn't a gimmick, Jimi. We're STILL learning from you.

Summer is waning. School is starting. Joy is in the air for those meeting up with old school friends.
This isn't new, but it's certainly special. Just listen and experience
JOY!

Last night I was trying to find some inspiration for the bluegrass I'm working on and the first thing that came on youtube was
THIS. It's a pretty slow version of Home Sweet Home.
