I spy with my little eye
Oh nax, I totally agree. When I fly home to Manitoba in the summer and pass over the patchwork quilt of the fields I always get a bit teary. Driving through them in the summer is one of the happiest feelings I know.
I always notice light/shadow patterns.

Trying to get pregnant after coming off pill!
Another yes for TCOYF and definitely yes to starting to chart your cycles. My cycles were pretty irregular after going off the pill and even with well timed trying and charting it still took 16 months after stopping b/c for us to conceive - I'm 21 weeks now. Having a blood workup with your gyn wouldn't hurt either and might give you some additional answers about your cycle and hormone levels, best of luck to you.

growth on cats paw
I had a cat with this on each pad, the vet said it was a callous. It can actually be *carefully* clipped off.

Using acupuncture to treat recurring miscarriages?
I'm just starting acupuncture/homeopathy after my first miscarriage in November, I'm sorry for your losses. I don't have anything to report on yet but I'll obviously be following this discussion, hopefully someone has experience to share.

Swollen feline stomach
FWIW, the 'wet' form of FIP which causes the distended abdomen is far more common in kittens than older cats however it's not unheard of. A blood test would typically not test for this, at least not to my knowledge and experience (I lost a cat to this 2 years ago). It's a specific test done on request and, at least at my vet, at a higher price.
That said, I agree with the above posters that you need to take this kitty to another vet asap. Cats are very good at hiding... [more]

How to give interferon to a cat?
Not an answer to the question really, but a suggestion about how to administer via syringe. When I had to administer to my (now sadly gone) old guy, I found it easiest to kneel behind him, tilt up his head with my left hand, slip the syringe (quickly) in the corner of his mouth back behind his teeth with my right hand, and depress the plunger. This worked much better for both of us than trying to hold him and force his mouth open to get it down his throat.
