Jan Terri, an enigmatic outsider musician from Chicago, became a dubious celebrity in her own right after releasing a number of self-produced songs and accompanying videos on VHS in the 1990s. Among her "hits" were

Marilyn Manson eventually enlisted her to sing at a birthday party of his and the

Videos using all ephemeral public domain footage
I've been struggling to put my lifelong fascination with ephemeral industrial and educational films to good use, and hope I've done so. Though all the images are public domain, I've manipulated most of them. I have more underway; good-quality original footage is expensive to shoot! (The song is by an obscure '70s band, A Raincoat. I am an American citizen working in a company in the US that has its main outpost in the UK. I've been wanting my company to transfer me there for over two years, and have only really begun to vigorously pursue my aim last November. Currently, all bosses and middle management know about my desire to move, and they support it, but it still seems to be a process that is just dragging along. I've been told that HR in the UK now needs to speak to HR in the US, and that once that happens, I'll know more. This just sounds like it's going to take forever. Is there anything I can do to speed up the process? Would it be wise to contact HR myself?
