mathowie is going to ROFL(con)
I'd be up for meetup-age, although I was stupid and didn't sign up for the actual conference. Parts of it take place in my building, though, so hopefully I can sneak in.
CBC is fine with me. Really, anything that's not the Asgard makes me happy. I quite like the Cellar, if people want to head up Mass Ave a bit further towards Harvard. It's not that big, though, and on a Fri/Sat it may be unreasonable to get a group of any size in there.

MeFi Mail refresh
It strikes me that MefiMail would be a great way to add in mechanisms for people to get in touch with anonymous question askers without having to rely on external dummy email accounts. Just adding a "mail this asker" button, and then facilitating back and forth exchanges while keeping anonymity intact.

Yeah, I'm waiting on the mac port too. I bought it when it came out and played it on my roommate's computer, but he's using his computer most of the time I'm home, so I don't really get to play much. But when I do, I go by the same name as here.

Reminder: Boston/Cambridge area meetup, tomorrow,...
Whoever picks the dates of these events seems to have mastered the art of picking days I'm otherwise busy. Last Boston meetup was on graduation day, and this one I'm moving to a new apartment. Alas.
Have fun! I'll swing by for the next one.

Impromptu NYC meetup: anyone going to the Edward...
I'm not in NYC, but if anyone's on the fence, I'd definitely recommend the seminar. I caught one a few years ago in Boston, and it was fantastic. Also - when I went, there was a student discount that made it about as much for the seminar as it would cost to buy the books, so it was a great deal.
Have fun!

Our fair city...Boston hasn't had a meetup in ages,...
Cool to see a Boston meetup! I prolly won't be able to swing the evening of the 20th because graduation is the next day and there are various festivities to be attending that night. I'd be up for the 27th, though. Or any other times throughout the summer.
I'm scared, though, that Eid is going to scream "APRIL FOOLS" at me and then run away and I'll be all alone. ;(

Survey redux... the virtual idea was...
I'm with Plutor. I've never done a swap before, but would be intersted in trying it. On moderated v. unmoderated - it seems like it's a question of effort; unmoderated is certainly easier, and I don't feel qualified to say if the effort for moderated is worth it.
So yeah, I'd prolly be up for doing the swap (depending on timing) but didn't want to take an uninformed stand on the other issues in the survey.
