Creepy Dutch TV Host + Paedophilia Thread.
While I hate to admit to visiting there, I first saw this on /b/ of fourchan months ago. It's really just an internet shocker. I really don't see how anyone is entertained, educated or edified by this post in any way.

link requests, askmefi
Yeah I guess that wasn't very clear. Hmm. Trepidly is a word, by the way. I was trying to ask if questions such as "what are some good cooking websites?" are alright. 111 posts later, is there an answer?

I don't think I can make this any more clearer. If the AskMeFi post is of the kind which feature predominantly comments whose very theses espouse links rather than advice, will it be accepted into the community--as a full-lived post--and thusly not expurgated whenceforth into the static Mefi aether?

Sorry, I didn't realize my question had been answered. I guess I should have assumed it was, since every other possible question was answered, as well.

Cool. This is my story.
Gosh, I'm stuck at #854... anyone figure it out?
This is pretty cool.
(Ggod damn. Am I really that insipid?)

"I don't believe the SCOTUS's 'undue burden' test is the wrong way countless times). Things is, parallax, there is of course tension between freedom and human dignity, not some third-world shithole. And Human rights are held in areas with high annual insolation %s.
I was struck by the administration, was equallly criminal. 2000+ KIA is a crap way to attract capital to labor. 4.

There is no room on Metafilter for fun. Why do you think MetaTalk, the Meta of Metafilter, is grey?

Could we get rid of the bunny craps in posts?
I think I just need to develop more faith in jessamyn and mathowie, that they won't let Metafilter turn into an internet cesspool. It's just, you know, I care about Metafilter, and I worry when I think I see signs of trouble. I criticize because I love.

I used to think the flagging option, "Fantastic Post," meant the post was fantastical and as such didn't belong on Metafilter. Do you think maybe you could change that for stupid people like me?

If no disease-causing particle has been found, then you are forced to refer to it by its symptoms. Home Romerus is awesome, sure, but we have to be scientific.

Homo Romerus refers to a member of the Homo genus whose defining characteristic is roaming. Except it isn't spelled that way for some reason. Of course this is wholly unscientific, because zombies aren't a different species of human, they're just a... lifestyle choice.

Well, I'm interested. Half my Creative Writing class just wrote stories about how great pot and alcohol are. I'm not expecting great feedback from them.

If reading this makes you angry, then your writing is probably shit, too. In fact, you're probably made out of shit. Fuck you.
Well, what if we made a constitutional rule that mean-spirited feedback on stories wouldn't be deleted? I'd love to find somebody who thinks my writing sucks and is willing to tell me how & why.

Ok, when did posts with incredibly little content...
I have no problem with one-link FPP's, it's just that when a link just goes to a few pictures or such, I think to myself, "there's so much of this stuff on the web, the majority of posts on Metafilter could easily all be like this someday."
But maybe Metafilter won't cross the line into crap. I'm just a pessimist myself.
And signal, bring on the fish!

Why is it that I can criticize Metafilter policy...
Well, what if we had a once a month emergency post, that would allow us to post twice in one week? Some issues are more pressing and internet searches don't solve all problems.

Say, for example, someone had a dead rattlesnake they found, and wanted to preserve its skeleton and skin, but didn't know anyone who knew how, and therefore wanted to ask a large group in the hopes that someone did. This issue is pressing, because the snake would start stinking in a few days and have to be thrown away, most likely.
I'm sure there are plenty of other examples that are not life-threatening but that require quick help.

Well, thank you, monju_bosatsu, I was going in entirely the wrong direction with my searches. But I still think the policy deserves a little revision, and I didn't just do this to ask my question on the grey.
And Dr. Wu, this may seem strange to you if you aren't a naturalist, but I like to go out to the desert and look for animals, and if I can find a dead specimen it's all the better.

Well, I appreciate the lengthy response, Matt. I think now perhaps the problem is with the nature of humanity. I think I'm going to petition God.
I presume it wouldn't work to have questions deleted after a "best answer" is marked...would it?

Blech. It was a stupid mistake, and I don't see why it's that hard to grasp. I'm going to be making racist jokes till I die, a few seconds from now when the angry metafites kill me. However, it might be prudent to mention now that I'm a teenager, and teenagers today make racist jokes, and have friends of every color. At least in my district they do.

Well, the "fuck you" was a bit like an angy good bye, but I feel the need to correct your analagy; it's more like playing a video at a party and then discovering it's actually the one you used to record sex with your wife. It's not a conscious decision to offend, it's just showing something of yours you didn't mean to, in this case my sense of humor. And you can't blame someone for their sense of humor.
