Misogyny Filter (?)
"I would like to state that implying that the girlfriend can't be trusted to take the pill responsibly is misogynistic as we know nothing about this woman."
I think that the comment is more misanthropic than it is misogynistic.

Error when filling out your birthday in the preferences.
"Do you have a birthday
[ ] YES [ ] NO"
The brood I was in hatched on a specific day, but I've always been confused as to whether or not that was my birthday since technically I was a separate entity before that date. So I guess you're kind of discriminating against me by not including "maybe" as an option or giving me the ability to select two separate dates.

Your last comment was the phrase that must not be spoken Mister_A. Without it we may have been one day closer to a brand new day. But now you have ruined it for all of us. Ruined.

Can we not have this please. I always assumed that the number of people reading my typos was in the hundreds, not the tens of thousands. It would kind of take away the personal feel of mefi for me.

why are racist questions allowed on netatalk
I aways love it when there is a huge askme thread of people stating "confirmation bias." It makes me wonder if they are not also suffering from this bias when they explain something with this label. I don't recall ever really seeing a thread with an overwhelming answer of any of the other biases.

Is This What They Mean By Crowdsourcing?
I was watching a movie last night with a scene in which some guy is abducted, beaten and then taken out of the city and dumped in the woods. But of course this isn't enough for one of the aggressors in the scene, he also has to piss on the victim before he leaves him in the woods.
If metafilter were a character in that scene...

Your thoughts on current and future changes to make Metafilter more woman friendly
I'm sorry it's tiring to defend your point. I should probably just give in to save you that hassle.
I think you're missing the point. The premise was hashed out over about 1500 comments distributed between a few threads. It was decided there.

You know, there's this weird few words between the TITLE tags for this pge. "Your thoughts on ... " But I'm sorry — the premise has already been decided and the argument is over. I see. Matt, could you: s/your thoughts/Announcement Regarding/g?
The premise was decided, which is what you seem to be going after.
This thread is about the implementation of some sort of solution.

jennydiski, one of the unwritten rules of metafilter is that you will lose at metatalk 99% of the time when posting about a deleted post, just stop playing it.

occhiblu, when I read through that comment I can't distinguish between no talk of sexual differences as acceptable and the acceptable talk the post is defining. I get the general idea behind the points but the actual execution seems impossible.

Sorry had to step away for a second...
What I as getting at was that I understand the idea of not specifically criticizing someone in a sexual context (Anne Coutler) and not specifically mentioning things like a bucket of cocks (I'd get tired of hearing about the reverse of that from a group of women) but what I don't understand is the more subtle layer of the comment that any expression of difference is sexist ("...she’s obviously only dressed like that because she... Unable to adapt to the new demands placed upon it by its environment, it lost the ability to reproduce. Metafilter died amidst the cold grey swirls of winter shortly thereafter.
