I'm a very happy Vista 64 user.

Snappy and completely, flawlessly, 100% rock solid stable. And I've never had any problems with incompatibility - hardware (I haven't had cause to plug in my years-old Canon scanner yet, so don't know if that will have a driver, but everything else - printers, USB sticks, cameras, phone, many external HDDs, Sony video cam on firewire, et al, have all been fine) or software.

I think he means a low-end quad core processor. You can get a Q6600 Quad core for about $180 these days. That's not exactly prohibitively expensive.

I'm surprised more people aren't, since Vista SP2 enabled time travel. (Pretty painful to operate though, uses MacBook Pros and iPhones as reaction mass. Microsoft say they had no choice.)

My grandfather had polio (and lived his entire long life with a paralysed arm), now in the same country there is effectively zero chance that I'll catch it. I don't know how good his headset microphone is, but if the background noise on the video is anything to go by, I'm not surprised the software is having trouble. (Never mind that it's probably set up for dictating letters in English.)

An ex of mine had RSI and used Dragon quite a bit, it seemed to work reasonably well for her - once she had a good headset, and had set everything up nicely, anyway.

I don't really see the addiction. Won 12 rounds and 3 games, and stopped at 39000 odd points.

My technique was to flank the enemy by knocking off his end two balls with minimum power so my ball stalled in line with his, he usually didn't shoot that one off, which would mean I could then fire along his line, scattering his ass to the four corners. Damn, I was gutted when my partner of 6 years finally got home at 6 in the morning and immediately jumped in the shower. We broke up soon after. She never came clean, but not only was it ridiculously fucking obvious, but she'd also done the same thing to her previous long term boyfriend, so I really should have seen it coming, and given her fine ass a wide berth.
