The myth persisted over the years until it became real even though the truth was known. Now thanks to wonder of the net, we find out that Mama Cass did not die from eating a

Surprise
,
Surprise. The big guys of the computer world get anti-competitive when some one gets to close to their turf.

Since at least February, the St, Paul police and the FBI have been trying to
infiltrate protest groups planning to demonstrate and the RNC. Apparently they were successful because they have begun
arresting protestors before the convention actually starts. They even went after the press. I have to wonder if any
MeFites were busted?

The
circumnavigators are out there. In February,
Mike Beaumont completed the fastest circumnavigation of the globe by bicycle. Tomorrow,
Rosie Swale, age 62, finishes her 4 1/2 year run around the world. As posted
previously, Zac Sunderland is now attempting to break the record for the youngest sailing circumnavigation of the planet, now held by
Jesse Martin.

You may have
elbow germs and not even know it.
Eeeww! "The crook of your elbow is not just a plain patch of skin. It is a piece of highly coveted real estate, a special ecosystem, a bountiful home to no fewer than six tribes of bacteria. Even after you have washed the skin clean, there are still one million bacteria in every square centimeter." Beware some of these germs may be on your
hockey equipment.

Checkout: Where all lanes are open.
NYT
article article on Walmart's new blog written by their buyers with uncensored commentary on Walmart products. "After heeding the lessons of Wal-Mart’s earlier blogs and consulting with several well-known bloggers from sites like the Huffington Post, the buyers decided the site would succeed only if they wrote in their own voice, free from censorship and corporate review."

Salvador Dali
and
Walt Disney collaborated in 1946 on the short animation Destino. Disney had concerns about some of the graphics and it was never released. Lost for 56 years, it was restored in 2003 and has not yet been released for wholesale distribution. Tommorrow is your last chance to see
it at the
Dali and Film exhibit at the Tate Gallery.

Meet
the Raven. Robert "Raven"
Kraft has run barefoot in the sand at least three miles a day everyday since 1/1/75.
He may seem a little obsessive, but he's only number
10 on the list. 1-9 are far
more obsessive.

Did
you attend
this? If you did, then it's New Years Day and you're sitting in your
chair watching a little
TV while listening to a little
music.
