Rhubarb looks a bit like red chard. I share a CSA box with scrump and raar. Whenever there's red chard, scrump thinks it's rhubarb, and raar and I keep having to tell him it isn't. You can't make pie out of chard. Well, maybe you could, but I'm not going to try.

I don't know anything about birds, but will happily hang out with the romping-in-the-surf crowd. Let's hope Crosbie gets along with miss lynnster's dachshund. He's a compact forty pounds, so his figure-eights aren't as tiny as hers, but he can make himself pretty aerodynamic when he slicks his ears back.

Oh man, I've been craving a trip to Bloomington. I haven't been back since I moved away three and a half years ago, and I owe several friends a visit. I'd almost be tempted to fly in.

Well, in that case, AV, this weekend isn't entirely hopeless for me. Saturday I'm booked during the day, and Sunday is cram-packed from dawn till midnight, but Saturday night's all right.

Though I suspect parmanparman might find it a bit overwhelming to venture out on his second day in town to hang out with a bunch of imaginary friends.
