I am not stupid, but I know nearly nothing and will never change this fact. Help me accept this.

I have found that when you are motivated to something unusual or difficult people dont hesitate to tell you how flawed your dream is, and why you will never and cannot physically succeed. Sometimes, these thoughts creep into my head, which I would like to combat, thus my question.
I need quotes or excerpts about people who claimed someone famous in history would never succeed, who ended up making themselves look rather foolish when that person did infact succeed. (examples inside)

I am looking for flashcards on three specific subjects. I've looked online and haven't had much luck. The first I don't really need help finding, "beginning spanish words".
The other two have been more difficult.

What are some good books for beginners on finance?
I prefer a book on a variety of finance subjects, anything from taxes, to real estate, to the stock market. (several books dealing with specific subjects work just as well). While I want a book on the basics, it doesnt need to be written for children or the average teen.

How can I get friends and strangers to have a meaningful, intelligent conversation about something deeper than music or cars? Specifically what are some good thought provoking questions or topics to bring up that the average person could discuss?

I'm looking for a book on how to manipulate and control a group of humans, non-physically. Governments use manipulation to convince it's citizens to agree with them. Companies invest billions of dollars into researching how to convince a consumer to buy a product.

Does anyone know where I can find a list online of 500-1000 most common spanish words or phrases, along with their meanings? I searched a bit and found quite a few that had 50 or a 100 approximately, but I want more. I have a Spanish to English dictionary, but I want to print out a quick reference sheet. The list can be words or phrases, it doesnt matter too much.

I am looking for some anime that is designed for an adult to watch. I am not talking about adult content such as nudity, cursing and extreme violence, but rather the intelligence of the anime. Violence, nudity, and cursing is fine one way or the other. Are there any anime out there that talk about philosophy, or politics, etc? The closest movie I can give as an example isn't actually an anime, although it is animated: Waking Life

I am looking for movies with only a few main characters and little to no secondary characters. The main characters talk alot about philosophy, or politics or love or something, anything interesting really. (more inside). This type of movie often takes place in a deserted locale for much of the film... a few people get lost on a camping trip, or stranded on an island, or they share a jail cell together..

The other day a few college - aged people came to my door (and everyone's in the nieghborhood) lobbying something political. I didnt talk to them but by dad said they made pretty good money doing that. Anyways, I am personally kind of obsessed with politics, and would be thrilled to have a job in the field of politics. My question is does anyone have suggestions on where to look or who to ask for a job? I am looking for a job that I can start right away, without any schooling etc. Something that doesnt take any special qualifications.

I am looking for a website (not a specific one) that has a list of quotes from members of the Bush administration, with the quotes now obviously misleading, incorrect, and or lies.
This is the kind of thing I am looking for.

I want as many links as can be given for real estate websites. Actually its a little more specific than that. I dont know much about real estate, and its something I would like to know much more about. I dont want any websites that are real estate directories, only websites that have articles about real estate. preferably beginner articles, but thats not necessary. I would also appreciate similar links to articles about other types of investment. Also, any good real estate forums would be helpful. Thanks.

Can anyone suggest a link that has approval rating polls of all of the previous presidents. It doesnt have to be all, but preferably the last ten presidents. The more information the better, for example preferrably more then one apprval rating for each president (perhaps their highest and lowest rating).
Any links will be greatly appreciated, even if they arent exactly what im looking for.
