_aa_: are those checkboxes that need to be checked before the post is postable? because that's a lot of boxes to check... I'd suggest a "select all" (or perhaps "select all then post") button to streamline the UI...

Account disabled is a better search stringNot really. Disabled is not the same thing as someone purposely clicking a link to close their account.
umm, no - google doesn't understand meaning, it indexes words.

it so happens that when people close their accounts, and this is discussed in MeTa, people tend to say "disabled" rather than "closed". so for finding the relevant threads it is a better search term, semantics be... [more]

I suspect "am I responsible for the holocaust" was just poor phrasing or unclear thought... he does clarify at the end of the question - "Should I feel responsible for the Holocaust in spite of my late birth because I am german", which is not the same question...

the BozoFilter (aka "looks like you're posting but only you see your posts") thing was a standard feature of the arsDigita forum package back in the .com days, and may still live on in the shambling remains of OpenACS... just like telling everybody to not feed the trolls, but enforceable... I've wondered why nobody else seems to have picked up on the technique...
