One malfunctioning fuel pump + one fuel pump with a broken positive terminal = ? How safe are electric motors immersed in gasoline, anyway?

I have a Pentium D 925 that's running from 56 at idle and spiking to 78
oC according to Everest and even hotter according to the BIOS. How bad is this?

Ever wonder what's powering your favorite websites?
Builtwith promises to give you a clear picture of what software and technologies are behind almost any site. Unfortunately,
it's not always very accurate.

A new wonder drug?
Once used in a failed attempt to treat epilepsy, electrical stimulation of the vagus nerve now shows promise in treating severe depression. Billed as a Brain Pacemaker, it's making people happy.
Or something:
"Doctors began to suspect it held potential for treating severe depression when patients clung to the device, even when it wasn't helping their epilepsy."

I've been having this error crop up for some time now and the address is usually 0x00000000, but today it popped up with a new number. What is causing this? It happens to many applications (was happening with firefox occaisionally, too). The whole text of it follows:

IronLizard's Workshop
I just wanted to introduce my blog (I do hate that word) and a couple of projects I've posted on it. My favorite is the
butchering of an old TuneCast I dug out of the car to boost it's power beyond anything reasonable. Then there's the cheap way to replace your cracked
window 'squeegee' on your car window and of course the jerry rigged patch of a
leaking plastic intake manifold that GM completely dropped the ball on. (This one is the most Googled. Visits from NASA, GM and even Lockheed Martin had a peek. Hey guys, I'm available for design work! I can’t be much worse than what you've been doing.) Really this is just the simplest way I've found of collecting various mini-projects into one easy to update spot. Sometimes things don't go quite as planned in a moderately
spectacular fasion.

This
story made me wonder a bit. I'd never thought to wonder where all those old toilets disappear to. Maybe some lost tribes are out there right now hunting with the
remnants of these devices, which seem to have a
rich history.
Disclaimer.
