Save the world with used books?
A bookstore I sometimes go to in Boston is doing a Used Book of the Month Club...and apparently trying to save the world.
Has anyone else every sold anything used-of-the-month? I think this is new retail territory. I could save a few bucks with a Used-XBox-Game-Of-The-Month.
Or does this mean the economy is getting worse, if people can't even buy new books?

Going to Hawaii in the start of November for my Honeymoon...9 days I think. I love to Hike and all that fun stuff, my fiance will hike but likes to do lighter things due partially to a heart murmur (she also likes to shop). My fiances birthday is coming up Jan 27th...last year she put together a very sweet birthday day for me so I would like to reciprocate. My plan was to buy tix to Wicked in NYC and have a nice dinner. However, Wicked is sold out (unless I want to buy $300 tix I can't afford). I am looking for something to do on Saturday (the 28th?) in the New York New Jersey Philadelphia Area. I really don't think I can afford to spend more than $200 for the two of us...any affordable suggestions? I should mention we recently moved to the area but have been into NYC a number of times so we have already done the major attractions there (museums etc)

Absolve Big Box shopping guilt!
So apparently this bookstore in Boston decided if you can't beat them join them. You can basically buy permission to shop at a big box store...or absolve your guilt depending on how you look at it. Suppose they had to license the concept from the Catholic Church?

Which HDV Hi-Def Camera should I buy? Looking at either the new JVC GY-HD100U (which shoots 720p) or the Sony HVR-Z1U (which shoots 1080i), both also shoot standard DV. I will be using the camera for business reasons...training videos, interviews, maybe a wedding or two. Basically I guess it comes down to 720p or 1080i.
