ya know, the national BBQ competition is held on the 23rd and 24th, turning Pennsylvania ave into a big outdoor picnic. i don't know how that will mesh with the ALA schedule (and there is a ticket price for the BBQ festival), but that could offer a pretty large stomping ground.
