Lady Gratishades and I are going to be in Tokyo the last weekend of the month (tourists, no concrete plans). If last Saturday night of the month suits fellow Mefites I'd love to meet up (Lady G ain't a MeFite but given the fact that she hears so much about the place I reckon she's an honourary one at least). I'll keep an eye on the posts and if possible be great to meet up.

Bug Report (I think) ; I searched for words- 'look around you', filtered by Metafilter and got 90 odd Posts. Cool. Read through the first page of results then clicked for page 2 and it reverted to 'All Sites' as opposed to just 'Metafilter'- giving me page 2 of hundreds of results rather than subset of Metafilter I was looking for. Am I doing something wrong or is it a bug?

sambosambo- are you talking of changing your name or the world? It's fairly old fashioned (I was going to say quaint, but am sure that some would take issue with that) and probably better known in the UK (as derogatory to 'natives' from the time of Empire) I guess if it was something you were unaware of it's connotations.

Unless it was possible to stagger Jessamyn's idea of 15 per year roll out so that those addicted to asking didn't go crazy at the same time then we could end up with a big spike of questions at the start of the year from these users making January and February even worse.

It might mean that the other 10 months were 'better' depending upon what one looks for in AskMe.

Mister A- probably right on the Eastern European front. Cohen taught English in the Czech Rep for a time and his greeting 'Jak se mash' is very similair to the Czech (Polish and Slovak too) greeting (trans. 'how are you').

Spiderwire/anyone- could you give a quick explanation at what the Tradesport link means? If I hover over 'Senate GOP' odds I get 1.4, if over 'House GOP' I get 5.15 at present. Does that mean the market believes that GOP winning the house is far unlikelier than them winning the Senate? (I'm from UK and used to betting odds written as '2 to 1', these digital odds confuse me somewhat. Thanks.

I thought I was bad with my MeFi affliction, being in between jobs, but the history in the sidebar to your link is most amusing (or perhaps I mean gratifying as I'm not the only one reading out-dated posts). I’ve not seen any previous ones posted so guessing that I’m fairly stranded far from any Mefites at present but would be good to be proved wrong. Anyone up for Brno, Prague, Vienna, Bratislava etc?
