Need Music, man
I used emusic for a good long while and liked it well enough. The selection is good as long as your tastes aren't solidly in the mainstream. There's a bit of a community built around the service (ratings, message boards, and the like) and browsing is great (I loved browsing by release date and finding old gems from the 40s). Their current pricing structure (30 mp3s per month for $11.99, 50 for $14.99, or 75 for $19.99 plus they throw up free tracks through the month) is no mp3tunes, but better... [more]

What is the psychology of friendship?
Heather K. Love is a professor at the University of Pennsylvania who has taught a seminar on friendship:
The course explored the history and philosophy of friendship with a particular emphasis on the history of same-sex intimacies and recent rethinking of the social.
She has posted a great deal of material from the course on her website that you may be interestred in perusing. You may also want to try researching friendship theory; it's something that philosophers have... [more]

I really enjoy GQ (including the British version) and Men's Vogue, despite my non-dude status. I find Details to be absolute shit though.

Looking for over-the-counter anti-anxiety medication.
You may want to be careful when taking St. John's Wort, depending on other medications you may be on at the time. Personally, I've tried many of the things posted and have had some success with a program of omega-3s and valerian root. Kava, I've found, is far too sedating to be helpful. Otherwise, breathing and exercise can go a long way.

Wild game -etarians?
I don't know that there's a name for it, but some people aligned with various ethical eating movements promote doing so. Some foraging movements have hunting counterparts, and parts of the anarcho-primitivist movement hunt/forage/etc. These forums discuss hunting, trapping, and fishing as part of wilderness survival, and this "survival IQ" aggregates much of the same. This primitive living skillset links to a bunch of applicable resources. I think there's a much larger contingent of... [more]

Sandor Ellix Katz's excellent book The Revolution Will not be Microwaved also mentions eating roadkill as a sustainable way to consume meat. But again, it is part of a larger "ethical eating" mantra, not a sole (or even primary) means of attaining food.

Salad? Shoot me.
Maybe the dressing was rice vinegar, with sugar/honey, sesame oil, and a soy sauce? Some combination of the above is what I often throw onto a rice noodle salad.

Political issues that have been rhetorically flipped around?
You might want to look at George Lakoff, a linguist at UC Berkeley who has explored conceptions of morality in [specifically, U.S.] politics through a lens of cognitive science and language. Some folks like him, others don't, but he's seems applicable to what you're looking for here.

CondomFilter: Leaking down at the base?
Regarding spermicidal lubricant: "As far as spermicides are concerned, using spermicidal lube is generally no longer recommended. Spermicides alone not only provide minimal pregnancy protection, but nonoxynol-9 (N-9), found in many spermicides, can cause irritation and possibly facilitate HIV transmission. Spermicidal lubes may be a safer option for couples who are monogamous and have little reason to be worried about HIV/STI transmission; for others, choosing a spermicide-free lube may be... [more]

Thanks again for the answers.
Admittedly, it may have been stupid to leave the stuff out on the porch. However, we live in a tiny town, where we leave all of our doors constantly unlocked (both to the building itself and the six individual apartments inside) whether we are there or not. None of us use keys. If there were a risk for theft, all of our laptops, electronics, and other valuables would have disappeared long ago. We all leave stuff in both the front and back... [more]

How is my neice's baby related to me? And to my son?
Monday writes "I would call my mother's aunt my great aunt, not my grand aunt. She would call me her great niece. This may be my family's aberration, but I think I've heard others call similar relationships the same."
My family does this as well; I actually believed it was accepted convention for quite some time.

Looking for the Bizarro airplane
This question sucks. I initially thought "submarine" upon hearing the question, and "blimp" upon reading the choices, due to its lack of wings. I think the "lighter than air" aspect is probably a better angle to take, however, due to semantic quibbles about wings on helicopters.
